Places to Serve
Do you love pouring into and shepherding students? Are you dependable and yet love the craziness that also comes with student ministry? We need dedicated leaders in all aspects of Summit Students who are interested in helping our students navigate through the critical years of 6th grade through high school! Read through the positions below to see if one is a fit for you.
Missional Community Mentors
We need dedicated men and women to lead groups. We are adding students all the time, so we are consistently needing more group leaders. This is always the area of greatest need.
Mentors work in plurality (at least two mentors per group), and lead 8 - 12 students in their Missional Communities. A mentor will help lead discussion on Scripture, plan group activities, and mentor the students during this crucial stage of life. Though mentoring students comes with responsibility and authority, the Pastor of Student Discipleship will be available to shepherd and care for you as you care for the students.
* To serve as a Summit Students Missional Community Mentor, you must be a member of Summit Crossing Community Church or in the process of becoming a member.
Host Home Volunteers
We need families who are willing to allow their homes to be a welcoming space for our groups to meet every Wednesday evening, August through May, from 6:30 - 8:30p (excluding the first Wednesday of every month). We ask for the group to have a place where 8 - 12 students can meet free of distractions. Weekly communication will go through the corresponding group leader.
