Summit Students Mission and Vision
The mission of Summit Students is to make disciples of Jesus Christ in the everyday rhythms of life.
Summit Students exists to encourage 6th-12th graders to know the Gospel, connect in Gospel relationships, and live out the Gospel in the world. We use the phrase "Know, Connect, Live" as an easy way to remember this vision.
6th-8th grade Middle School students. 6th grade meets Sunday mornings in DNA's. 7th-8th grade meets in DNA’s on Wednesday evenings during the school year.
9th-12th grade High School students. Apex meets in DNA’s on Wednesday evenings during the school year.
DNA (Discover/Nurture/Action) is the weekly environment where students connect in gender and age specific groups. These groups encourage one another to know the Gospel, connect in Gospel relationships, and live the Gospel out in the world. Adult mentors lead and facilitate DNA groups.
DNA’s meet Wednesday’s.
Students are encouraged to participate in the life of their parents' Missional Community. We believe every Missional Community bears the identity of Family. Therefore, students and children are vital members of their family's MC. Their involvement can be (but is not limited to) meals, community activities, and MC gatherings. Students are encouraged to get to know the other members of the MC in order for mutually beneficial discipleship.
Ascend and Apex students gather on the first Wednesday of each month from September to May. At United, Students are intentionally engaged in our rhythms and participate in age-specific corporate worship.
Students are encouraged to attend our local gatherings with their families and to serve in a variety of roles.
