Welcome to the Madison location of Summit Crossing Community Church. We are glad you are interested in visiting us! We are a church that exists to know the gospel, connect in gospel relationships and live out the gospel in the world. At our Governors West location, you will see people from all walks of life gather, worship, encourage and support one another with the love that only comes from a faith in Jesus Christ. We hope you find your visit authentic and choose to make us your church home.
Our parking team arrives early to both the 9 am and 11 am gatherings to ensure a smooth parking experience. When you arrive, signs will point you in the right direction to pull around to the rear of the building. There you will be directed to a parking spot (handicap and family parking is available). If you have any questions about parking, locate one of our parking team members in the bright vests. They're happy to answer your questions.
When you enter the building, you will be greeted by members of our connection team. They will be wearing green Summit Crossing shirts and are available to answer any questions you may have. They can direct you to our coffee bar, main worship gathering area, restrooms, or children’s check-in.
Families With Children
Summit Kids is for children from birth through 5th grade and takes place during both our 9 am and 11 am gatherings. We have age specific classes for newborns all the way to 5th grade. Middle school and high school students are encouraged to join in the gathering with their parents on Sunday mornings.
Safety is a top priority for us on Sunday mornings. When you arrive, our Summit Kids team will assist you in checking in your child. We use a computerized check-in system to make sure that only people you designate can pick up your children. All community leaders serving in Summit Kids have had a background check, as well as appropriate training.
All Summit Kids classes participate in age-appropriate versions of The Gospel Project. This curriculum is designed to help children know the gospel by going through the entire Bible over the course of several years. Each child connects in gospel relationships with peers and leaders as they learn to live the gospel out in the world.
During our gatherings, we sing, pray, read scripture, teach from the scriptures, share in communion, and share in giving. Typically we sing to start our gathering, then someone from our teaching team will share a message, followed by communion, and a few more songs. Each gathering averages about one hour and 15 minutes.
When the gathering is over, you're encouraged to stick around and get to know our church family. Our desire is that you would feel welcomed. If you checked your children in, we do ask that you pick them up as promptly as possible.
