For the fourth year in a row Summit Crossing has the awesome opportunity to provide the volunteers for the Chick-Fil-A 5K, 10K, and 1 mile fun run on May 6, 2017, on the Square right in the heart of Athens! This has been a fantastic volunteer event within our community as we as a church have provided over 70 volunteers each year.
- SET UP -
Set Up Crew will arrive at 5:00AM to help set up the event with tent, tables, cones and refreshments.
- PARKING -
Parking Crew will be assisting participants upon arrival and will be the first smiling face participants see.
- REGISTRATION -
Registration Crew will be assisting participants upon check-in and distributing participant bags, bibs and shirts.
- HOSPITALITY -
Hospitality crew will be managing refreshment food and drink for participants.
- COURSE ATTENDANT -
Course Attendants will be dispersed throughout the course to protect, direct, and encourage participants as they run.
- HYDRATION STATION -
Hydration Station Crew will be assisting the participants mid race to refuel with water. This is a great area for families and children to help out. Passing out water and encouraging participants will be your duty.
All proceeds from the races will benefit the ministry Loads of Love, an organization dedicated to providing for the physical and spiritual needs of the Limestone County community. The members of Loads of Love reach out to those in need in our community by getting to know individuals on a deeper level to determine how to best help them and point them to their greatest need: Jesus Christ.
