21 Day Personal Prayer Guide
March 03, 2016
WEEK 1 | PRESS IN: OUR GOSPEL IDENTITY AS FAMILY
1 Corinthians 12:12-13
“For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit.”
“I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.”
Pray for God to unite our hearts in Him, that we as brothers and sisters would come together with the goal of being a church family sent out as missionaries to serve our city and to the nations.
Pray that our Sunday gathering would be an environment where visitors are welcomed into our church family, and that our love for God would be evident in how we care for one another to the glory of God.
Pray that our hearts would be affected and broken over our sin. Pray that this Godly sorrow would lead to corporate repentance to seek God’s heart.
Pray for our unity in Jesus to be more important than preferences, and that we can lay those preferences down in joy for the sake of others and God’s glory.
Pray that each one of us will realize we are an integral part of this gospel family. Each of us plays an equally important role and function to bless the entire family so that His church is built up.
Pray God would give us creative and effective ways to use our building as a missional outpost to grow as a church family, to train our families in gospel fluency, and for our building to be used for equipping families to be more engaged in orphan care.
Pray for the upcoming sacrificial giving Sunday. Pray that God would lead the family of Summit Crossing Community Church to give generously to the Redemption Project.
WEEK 2 | PRESS DOWN: OUR GOSPEL IDENTITY AS SERVANT
“But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
“If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that you also should do just as I have done to you.”
Pray for our hearts to desire to serve one another rather than be served and find joy in this obedience to Jesus.
Pray that as a people, collectively, we find value in believing what Jesus says and what He did as a servant to those around Him.
Pray for one specific opportunity this week to serve one person in your Missional Community.
Pray for the name of a local ministry to bless this week either through your time, money or encouragement.
Pray for those in our body who are still looking for a place to serve that God would lead them in the right direction.
Pray that our Missional Outpost would be used to serve our city and that our people may serve with great joy.
Pray for sacrificial Sunday that God would bless the offering and that Summit Crossing Community Church would be a blessing to others in our city.
WEEK 3 | PRESS OUT: OUR GOSPEL IDENTITY AS MISSIONARY
“And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Pray for our hearts to be focused on the mission to which God has called us and that we as a people would follow the commands of Jesus to lay down our lives in order to make disciples.
Pray for specific opportunities to share your faith with someone this week and that God would save souls in our gathering.
Pray God leads families and individuals to go on long term missions.
Pray that our Missional Outpost would be used for training missionaries for long term missions.
Pray that our Missional Outpost would be used to train church planters.
Pray God uses our Missional outpost to equip our members to be everyday missionaries in everyday life.
Pray that the body at Summit Crossing would give with a sacrificial heart on April 17th.
