Summit Crossing Community Church is a church plant, or new church start, located in the community of Madison, Alabama. SC3 began as a God-inspired concept of a 1st century church for the 21st century planted in the hearts of a few men in February 2001. After two years of prayer and planning, Summit Crossing Community Church was born in 2003. SC3 began meeting corporately for worship in a home during the summer of 2003 and in October, moved to the BCM at the University of Alabama-Huntsville. After outgrowing the facility at UAH, Woodland Hill Baptist church graciously allowed us to meet in their Family Life Center. In November of 2004 SC3 moved to a newly renovated facility on the corner of Eastview Drive and Slaughter Road where we currently reside. God continues to bless and grow the core group of this new work with the addition of new faces, weekly small groups and both a student & children’s ministry. |
